Sources & methodology — how we verify data
Data accuracy is our top priority. This page explains where we get our information, how we verify it, and how to report an error.
Our methodology
Every figure on this site — customs threshold, weight limit, shipping price, delivery time — comes from a primary source: the carrier's official website, EU legislation, or a national customs authority. We do not write from memory and do not relay data from other aggregators.
Prices are indicative — retail rates excluding VAT, fuel surcharges, and volume discounts. They are intended for comparison, not as a binding quote. Always verify current pricing directly with the carrier before shipping.
Update frequency
- Customs thresholds & legislation — verified on every change (EU regulations, national legislative updates). GitHub Actions nightly build automatically monitors tracked sources for changes.
- Carrier limits & conditions — manual monthly review. Each carrier page displays the last review date (
verifiedAtfield). - Prices — quarterly update (tariffs change at year-end and when carriers publish new rate cards).
- Delivery times — semi-annual review based on carrier reports and reader feedback.
