Customs and VAT for Thailand
Thailand is outside the EU. Shipments up to 1,500 THB (~42 EUR) are exempt from both duty and VAT. Above this value, Thai VAT of 7% and customs duty (0–30% by category) apply. All postal shipments are subject to review by Thai Customs Department — always attach a CN22/CN23 with an accurate value. Thailand strictly controls electronics (possible licensing requirements), medicines, and cosmetics. Marking a shipment as a "gift" does not exempt it from duty if the value exceeds the threshold.
